My name is Dr. Aimee Bronhard, otherwise known as Dr. B, and I am excited to be back again serving as your Henry Lord Community School Principal. On behalf of the HLCS Administration and Staff, I would like to welcome all students and families to a new school year. This packet includes very important information for the start of school on Wednesday, August 28, 2019.

Popsicle Social, Tuesday, August 27that HLCS 1:20-2:20pm - Students and families meet and greet with their teacher and school staff. The goal is for students to have a familiar face and know their arrival location for a predictable and positive first day of school for all students when we open our doors for the new year at 7:52 on Wednesday, August 28th. Many of our community partners will also be available at the event to help welcome the students back to school and provide information about their resources to the families. Please visit their tables and hear what they have to offer!
Spirit Wear Policy - Spirit Wear is required by all students K-8 everyday. Our dress code is outlined on the handout attached. Logos are available in the main office for .50 each. Please contact school administrators with any questions.
Attendance Policy - The Fall River Public Schools believes in the importance of daily attendance at school. A Fall River Public Schools ATTENDANCE POLICY has been approved for the coming school year. Students will receive a summarized copy of the updated Attendance Policy on the first day of school. PLEASE SIGN & RETURN.
Our school doors open at 7:52 am.
Students are expected to enter through their designated arrival location/door up until 8:02. After that time, students must enter through the main entrance and report to the main office.
Arrival Door Assignments are enclosed in this packet on a separate sheet.
We dismiss at 2:19 pm each day, with the exception of the 3rd Wednesday of the month.
WE DISMISS @ 1:19 pm on the 3rd WEDNESDAY OF THE MONTH ONLY. On all other Wednesdays, students will remain in school until our regular dismissal time of 2:19pm.
The dates of our MONTHLY early dismissals are as as follows:
September 18th January 22nd April 15th
October 16th February 12th May 20th
November 20th March 18th
Safety and security are our top priority for all students. It is very important that we know how your child will be dismissed from school: bus, walker patrol, or pickup patrol. On the reverse of the Student Profile Sheet is the dismissal verification form. Please select how your child will be dismissed.
Although we prefer that students remain in school all day, if they need to be dismissed early, it is important that you send in a note with child so the office and teacher are prepared for the dismissal.
If your child is part of the pick-up patrol the adult picking up the child will be required to show a photo ID in order for the child to be released to him/her. Please communicate this change to your family/friends who are picking your child up from school.
