Jan is a dedicated educator who has worked with high school students for the past 17 years. After earning a Bachelor’s in Education from Penn State University, she began her career as an English teacher in the Philadelphia School District. In the Fall River Public schools, she has continued her career as a high school English teacher. Upon earning a 2nd Master’s Degree from UMASS Boston in School Counseling, Jan then served as a guidance counselor, school design leader, and currently as the leader for Evolve Academy. As a first generation college student herself, Jan is passionate about increasing educational options and college access for all students. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family.

Julius is a licensed independent clinical social worker (LICSW) who has been working with people who are in need of social emotional learning (SEL) support for over 20 years. He has worked in mobile crisis intervention, supporting youth and adults who were in need of crisis stabilization, as both supervisor and outreach clinician. Julius is also a seasoned therapist who has practiced therapy with both individuals and families for many years. Prior to working for the FRPS he has worked with transitional age youth with dreams of going to college, to achieve this and their other vocational/educational goals. He enjoys gaming, krav maga, and travel.

Alex has worked as a science teacher in the Fall River Schools system for five years, after graduating from UMass Dartmouth's biology program. In his program, his focus was evolutionary biology and organic chemistry. Alex believes science is essential for students as a means to understanding how the world works. He enjoys walking his dog, crafts, gardening, and reading.

Eric is a passionate educator who has worked with high school students for the past 15 years. He earned a Bachelor’s in Arts in History and a Master’s in Education. He started teaching in the Fall River Public schools, as a substitute teacher and then transitioned to a full time History teacher. He is enthusiastic about students expanding their historical knowledge and believes this furthers students’ greater understanding of the world. In his free time, he enjoys listening to music, spending time with his wife and three boys, and going to concerts.

This is Sarah's second year at FRPS. She is an enthusiastic and caring educator who earned her Bachelor’s degree in English and Secondary Education at Boston College. Post college, she spent a year teaching night ESL classes and working with high school ESL students as support staff during the day. She is passionate about seeing students succeed particularly in reading, writing, speaking and listening. She loves reading and exploring nature. She also is an avid music lover who runs live sound and creates videos when she’s not at school.

Michelle Muller is an enthusiastic math teacher in her first year at Durfee High School. She has eight years of teaching experience as an adjunct faculty member at Massasoit Community College in Brockton, where she taught statistics and all levels of mathematics. She enjoys connecting classroom lessons to real world applications from her varied professional experience as a small business owner and as a project engineer with a large heavy civil construction company. She is fundamentally curious and loves all fields of science, and reveres mathematics as the language that defines them. She is an avid hiker and loves exploring the outdoors with her large family, particularly her two children.
