Durfee High School School Guidance Department Mission Statement
The mission of the School Counseling Department at Durfee High School is to support and empower the academic, personal/social and career development of all students. In collaboration with school, family, and community partners, school counselors will guide all students, regardless of disability, language acquisition needs, socio-economic status, ethnicity, or gender identification to become resilient, productive and contributing members of their community.
Early College Family Information Night for Grade 9 & 10 Families
We are excited to provide an opportunity for you to learn more about Durfee High School’s Early College program. BMC Durfee High School's Early College program allows Durfee students to be a high school and college student at the same time.
We are offering a virtual information session on Thursday, April 29th at 6pm for you to learn more about the program. If you are interested in attending the information session or would like us to provide information to your student, please complete this survey by Wednesday, April 28th.
The Early College program is a partnership between Durfee High School and Bristol Community College / Bridgewater State University. Here are some of the facts and benefits of an Early College program:
The Early College program is open for all Durfee High School students to apply
Students can take FREE college courses during the traditional school day hours, earning 18-24 college credits by the time they graduate
Students can save time, money, and ease into college coursework.
Early College programs make the transition from high school to college smoother.
Early College students are significantly more likely to enroll and complete college.
