Website Review

In order to promote safe use of the Internet and comply with the Children's Internet Protection Act (CIPA) and other applicable statutes, we actively monitor and prevent student access to inappropriate and questionable web content.  In addition, our Web filtering provides a technical means of monitoring compliance with our district's Acceptable Use Policy.

We typically block:

Online games
Peer-to-peer networks
BitTorrent
Adult content
Obscene and tasteless materials
Personals
Streaming Media
Social Media (Facebook/Myspace)
Youtube (inappropriate content)

Personal Email:

The Fall River Public Schools blocks many ISP email clients due to federal and state regulations requiring us to archive all electronic documents (including email) produced by school employees. The only way we can meet this requirement is through the use of our @fallriverschools.org email domain. Please conduct your school-related business through your fallriverschools.org email account. While we understand that this is an inconvenience, it is a necessary step to ensuring we are compliant with state and federal regulations. You can read more about the state regulation here: http://www.sec.state.ma.us/ARC/arcrmu/rmubul/bul199.htm
