REGULAR TRANSPORTATION BUS STOPS
*Please note that the Massachusetts transportation guidelines state that to be eligible for regular transportation (elementary schools) you must live 1 ½ miles from your district school. To be eligible for transportation (middle schools) you must live 2 miles from your district school. Our goal is provide transportation accordingly: To be eligible for regular transportation (elementary schools) you must live one (1) mile from your school. To be eligible for regular transportation (middle schools) you must live one and half (1 ½ ) miles from your school. There is no regular transportation for Talbot Middle, Kuss Middle, Doran, Greene, Tansey and Watson schools (all within walking distance). These bus stops will also be posted on the School Department web-sites. Copies can also be obtained at the Office of Transportation, 106 Hartwell Street and the Administration Building, 417 Rock Street.

lives 1 or more miles from their neighborhood school.
Students in grades 6-8–qualify for transportation if the student
lives 1.5 or more miles from their neighborhood school.
Students in Special Programs – qualify if the student is
attending a program outside their residential school area.
Information
regarding transportation services to all students who qualify will be
mailed to the families of these students in mid-August. This information will include bus stop assignments and time-lines.
Students on IEPs may have different transportation requirements which are not addressed by this transportation information.
The accommodations made for transportation for a student on an IEP will take precedence.
