Term four senior common product:
Your Last Lecture
Your term four common product is to create your own version of Randy Pausch’s lecture. There are two options for this assignment.
Option One:
You will write your own last lecture. This should be advice and lessons that you want to leave behind. You can decide on your audience, but some suggestions are your future children or even Durfee freshmen. You lecture should include:
- At least five lessons you feel are important to life. See chapters 28 in the text for ideas. Each lesson should have a title and a full explanation of its importance. You can approach this as Pausch does, as a reflective piece where you relate your own life experiences.
- Your lecture should be typed and free of grammatical errors.
Option Two:
Instead of handing in a typed out version of your lecture, you can deliver a lecture to the class like Pausch does. This lecture should include:
- A well crafted speech/lecture you present to the class. You should prepare notes that you will use to deliver the speech so that you have a clear presentation in mind.
- A PowerPoint that accompanies your presentation. Please use YouTube to view Pausch’s lecture for ideas.
- Your speech should still include the five or more lessons; therefore, your PowerPoint should be at least seven slides: an introduction, one per lesson, and a conclusion slide.
- Your PowerPoint should be free of grammatical errors and each slide should be printed out and handed in.
Due By: May 17th, Presentations the week of May 20-24
