All teachers on the elementary level with professional status have been assigned to new positions or departments for the 2008-2009 school year. Teachers with non-professional status should check the employment section of the web site regularly for updated information about vacancies due to resignations, retirements, or additional classes that may be added due to student reassignment. As a result of yesterday's (5/14/08) meeting at the Talbot Middle School, you will find attached below a memo, as well as the revamped displaced and elementary vacancy list. This will also be emailed, this afternoon, to all staff affected by school closing and reorganization.

Please be advised that there will be a meeting of all teachers affected by the Reorganization of Schools at the Talbot Middle School Auditorium on Wednesday, May 14, 2008 at 3:15 PM. The purpose of this meeting is to provide information relative to reassignment or displacement to all teachers from the following schools:
Belisle
Connell
Coughlin
Fowler/Osborn
Greene ELLP
Healy
Laurel Lake
Stone
Lincoln
Westall

Due to the reorganization of schools within the Fall River Public School District, many of our teachers and staff will be reassigned for the 2008 - 2009 school year. Teachers and staff at the following schools will be affected by these consolidations and school closures: Belisle, Connell, Coughlin, Fowler/Osborn, Greene ELLP, Healy, Laurel Lake, Stone, Lincoln and Westall. After many meetings we have formulated a reorganization proposal, attached below, which is fair and also honors teacher requests to move as groups whenever possible.
Many hours were spent working on this plan by the following individuals:
