OTHER OPPORTUNITIES FOR JUNIORS
John and Abigail Adams Scholarships:
- Earn a scholarship to attend a Massachusettsstate college or university tuition-free
- Criteria: earn at least one Advanced and one Proficient on the ELA and Math MCAS exams that were taken in the SOPHOMORE year. Scores must be in the top 25% for the district.
- Awarded students are notified in Fall of the Senior year.

Stanley Z. Koplik Scholarship:
- Students who do not qualify for the Adams Scholarship for the 10th grade MCAS scores could become eligible.
- Students must register to retake the MCAS exam(s), which are administered in the Spring of the Junior year.
- You must sign up to retake the ELA and Math tests with Assessment Center in IMC before the Spring when the test will be administer.
- Students receive scores from this testing in the Fall of senior year and meet the requirement for the Koplik scholarship if scores are at least Advanced and Proficient on both tests.
- Additional testing scores are required: have two qualifying scores from AP exams or SAT II subject tests by the end of your senior year.

Tech Prep Program:
- Services that link high school career and technical education programs to postsecondary (college) career and technical education programs.
- Apply course credits and grades to both your high school and BCC transcript.
- Earn college credit before graduating high school.
- Students can take up to 5 credits at BCC after 4 p.m. and on weekends (on a space available basis). Free of charge.
- Student would pay the cost of books and/or materials.

Dual Enrollment Program:
- Enables students to take college course during the school day at BCC.
- Student must have a 3.0 GPA.
- Courses a discounted rate: 3 credits = $200.00; 4 credits = $300.00; or Free when funding is available.
