Durfee Chorus Club


About the Chorus

Durfee Chorus Club is a group of students that meets once a week to learn about group singing, and to prepare for school and community concerts. The group sings in 3-4part harmony and sings a wide variety of musical styles. The chorus performs at least 2 formal concerts a year, including a Winter and a Spring performance. Each year the chorus takes part in an adjudicated Choral Festival. the chorus has also toured the city's middle schools and given performances in Kennedy Park.

Music Festivals and Awards

The chorus has received both a silver and gold medal in the Great East and the High Notes Music Festivals in 2008 and 2009 respectively. In April received a non-competitive award with Good Standing.
