The following are my classes, their descriptions, assignments for each class, links and resources for parents and students.

Concert/Parade Band

Description:

The Concert/Parade Band performs at winter and spring concerts, local and area parades, all Home Football games, and Thanksgiving.

Honors Band

Description:

Honors Band performs at winter and spring concerts, local and area parades, all Home Football games, and Thanksgiving.  The class is also responsible to conduct research assignments, give presentations to the class, and audition for state and local festivals.

Drumline Classes

Description:
The Drumline class is open to all students novice to advance to discover and develop marching percussion technique.  It is offered as a semester class and will focus on individual and group performances. 

Upcoming Assignments:    -Warm Ups 8, Double, Triple, Alternate, and Alternate w/Buzz
                                       -Hunka Funk Cadence
                                       -Rhythm Patterns
 

Music Theory

Description:
Students explore how to write, analyze, and describe music through musical notation.  The class is designed to prepare students to continue a love of music as an undergraduate music major or a life long learner.

Upcoming Assignments:   Writing a song based on a Poem
                                          -Pick a Poem

                                          -Develop a Chord Progression
                                          -Develop a Melody
                                          -Arrange Melody and Chords for specific instrumentation

Piano Lab 

Description:
Piano Lab is intended for any student who is interested in developing musical keyboard skills. Students will learn to play the piano while developing an understanding of melody and harmony. Student performance for live audience is required. This course may be repeated for credit.
