Appointed Employee Hiring Process

  • Applicant applies to open position via the Fall River Public Schools website
  • District representative contacts applicant to schedule in person interview
  • District representative recommends successful applicant for appointment by the Superintendent
  • Human Resources contacts applicant to complete new hire paperwork
  • Superintendent signs appointment letter indicating an official offer of employment has been made

Substitute Hiring Process

  • Applicant applies to open position via the Fall River Public Schools website
  • District representative contacts applicant to conduct phone screen
  • Human Resources contacts applicant to complete new hire paperwork
  • Successful applicant is added to District sub list via Aesop

Documents you will need to complete/provide as a new hire

  • W-4 Form
  • SSA-1945 Form
  • I-9 Form
  • Identification from the List of Acceptable Documents to satisfy the requirements of the I-9 (which can be found on the last page of the I-9 Form, commonly used documents are a US Passport, OR a Driver's License AND a Social Security Card, OR a Driver's License AND a Birth Certificate)
  • CORI Request Form
  • State or government issued photo identification for the CORI background check (this can be one of the same forms of ID used for your I-9)
  • Fingerprinting
  • Emergency Contact Form
  • EPIMS Data Sheet Form
  • Conflicts of Interest Law Acknowledgement Form
  • Direct Deposit Form
  • Voided check or savings account information for direct deposit
  • Bencor Form (if applicable)
  • Fall River Retirement Form (if applicable)
  • Beneficiary information (name and contact information of someone you would like to be your beneficiary)
  • Official college transcripts (if attended college)
  • Proof of your successful completion of a mentoring program (if applicable)
  • Written letters verifying your previous employment (must include dates of employment and job title)
  • Paraprofessionals only - Birth Certificate (this can also be used for your I-9)
