Who needs Tom Daley when you have Nolan Burns? Durfee's Senior captain has had a tremendous high school diving career and hasn't lost his spark coming into his last year. Burns has already qualified for the state tournament half way through the season and intends to represent the Hilltoppers proudly.

Since his Freshman year Burns has made a name for himself as a top diver. He has an astounding list of accomplishments: he is a two time southeastern conference champion, a top ten finisher in sectionals twice and had a top ten state championship finish as well.

It's safe to say that Burns has put some work in his four years here at Durfee. With swim season quickly coming to a close, Burns still has a lot left undone, and doesn't plan on ending his list of accomplishments right there. "I'm going for all American this year," said the talented Durfee diver.

His biggest challenge yet may be breaking the regular season six dive record of 282, which was set back in the 1980's. It won't be an easy task, but Burns has been burning records since his freshman year, therefore if anyone can do it, it's him. Keep an eye out for Nolan Burns, it's only a matter of time before we see him representing the U.S. in the Olympics.
