On Friday, April 1, the Durfee boys' volleyball team did not joke around as they defeated Randolph High School 25-6, 25-10, 25-6 in Randolph's first ever boys' volleyball game.

Durfee, losing only three key players to graduation, is a very experienced team bringing back a four year starting setter, Jeff Daddona, and other four year players Alex Pena, Rami Akouri, Jordan Rego, and Rakeem Tavares. Daddona finished the game with 18 assists. Tavares finished with five kills, Akouri with four, and Pena and Rego with many key digs and passes. Chadwick Pires, Emmanuel Fernandes, and Daniel Buth played superbly at the net.

Co-Captain Jordan Rego said that "it was a great win to start off the season and everyone did their part to secure the victory."

Durfee beat Taunton High School 3-0 on April 4, with scores of 25-10, 25-8, and 25-17. Rami Akouri led the team with 18 kills, and setter Jeff Daddona finished with 27 assists. Durfee continues its season April 6 when they square up against North Quincy High School.
