Girls' basketball gets back on track

The Durfee girls basketball team overcame an early 12-4 deficit after losing three heart breaking loses to New Bedford, Brockton, and Feehan to defeat Somerset 48-45. The girls imrpoved their record to 7-9 and need only three more wins to qualify for the Massachusetts State Tournament. Denisha Parks finished the game with 16 points. Danielle Gauvin, scoreless in the first half, came through in the second half making three three-pointers. Rachel Camara played superb defense vaulting the Hilltoppers toward the win.
The Hilltoppers next game will be Saturday February 12 at St.Mary's High School in Lynn, MA.
