Last week, Durfee Seniors received an email about all of the end of the year events. It is certain that the Class of 2014 still have to accomplish before they graduate.

The first thing on the to-do list is to get measured for their caps and gowns.  The measurements of the caps and gowns took place during all lunches in the cafeteria, on April 14 and 16.

Senior exams will be held from May 27 to May 30. So put that on your calendars and be sure to study for your final exams! There will be an updated schedule for the exams shortly so students will know which exams they have on certain days.

The moment most Seniors have been waiting for is Senior Prom. This event will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. at Whites of Westport. Be prepared to have some fun with your friends.

After prom ends, the party will continue at the After-Prom Party. The After-Prom Party will be at the Durfee's Field House from 12 a.m. to 5 a.m. There will be many interesting activities to take pace during the After Prom.  Also, Durfee's Seniors will have the opitunity to win many prizes, that will make their senior year even more remember able.

The Senior Class Trip will be held on June 2, at the Brownstone Exploration & Discovery Park. Students who decide to go on the trip will be leaving Durfee at 7:30 a.m. and the time of arrival back at Durfee is undetermined. The Brownstone Exploration & Discovery Park has a variety of different athletic activities to do, such as zip-lining, wakeboarding, and rock climbing. There is never a dull moment at the Brownstone Park.

On June 4, in the auditorium, it will be Check Out Day from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Senior Check Out Day is the final day to turn in materials and books that the school needs before they graduate. Seniors will also receive any school documents they have accumulated over the years.

When nighttime approaches on the 4th, so does Senior Awards Night in the auditorium. This will be held at 6 p.m., where all of the Seniors who have achieved academic excellence will receive their rewards.

Also, June 6 will also be a busy day for all Seniors. At 9 a.m., the Top 10 Breakfast will be held in the Trade Winds.

On that same day at 4 p.m., Graduation Rehearsal will be held. All students should attend Graduation Rehearsal so Graduation will be well organized and all Seniors walking on the stage will know exactly what to do.

After Graduation Rehearsal there will be a cookout in the courtyard at Durfee from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.. This will be the last big event before graduation where Seniors will get to bond at school.

And finally, the big day will arrive. On June 8, it is graduation and students will say goodbye to Durfee and move on with life. Make the most of the time you have left Seniors!
