LOOK AT WHAT'S GOING ON IN GREENE SCHOOL
Over the last two years the Substantially-Separate Special Education team (grades K-5) and the Occupational Therapy Assistant at the Greene Elementary School have developed a tradition of celebrating Thanksgiving by hosting a Thanksgiving feast. During the month of November, this team works together to prepare for the feast by collaborating on lessons which are designed to help their students foster a sense of community and develop an understanding of the history behind the Thanksgiving tradition. This year one of the collaborative lessons included a writing assignment that was designed to help the students foster an understanding of the true meaning of Thanksgiving. A quilt was made to display student work so that the school community, as a whole, can see their efforts and share in the spirit of Thanksgiving.
It’s Parade time! Come join us in the Annual Holiday Parade.
The WM. S. Greene School will be marching on Saturday, December 6th at 1:00PM. We are hoping for students and their parents to march and show their Greene School spirit!
Notices will be sent home soon!
