LOOK AT WHAT'S GOING ON AT GREENE!
Good Job 5th Grade!!!
Fifth graders are using their math strategies to solve real world problems. Through the use of fair sharing and ratio tables, they have helped Bob set prices for different weights of bird seed. After reading an email from Ms. Amaral, these 5th grade mathematicians established seating for an award ceremony by dividing the cafeteria into fractional parts. By multiplying and dividing fractional parts, they have also helped Mr. Meriano’s parents create bunny treat recipes for the bunnies on their bunny farm. We are finding math all around us and using different strategies to guide others to solve their problems.
Way To Go 3rd and 4th Grade Classes!!!
Third and fourth grade students complete "tickets to leave" as a way to check their comprehension of texts. First graders write narratives about real experiences using details and event sequences, as well as conventions of standard English capitalization, punctuation, and spelling.
On Friday, March 14, 2014 Greene School will be celebrating Dr. Seuss Day. Staff and students can dress as a Dr. Suess character or a favorite story book character.
Importance of Attendance:
The education of children is of utmost importance. Continuity in every grade can only be accomplished with a consistent attendance record.
