Mary L. Fonseca Elementary School

Welcome all Fonseca School Golden Eagles.  All students, Kindergarten through Grade 5, are present at Fonseca.  The faculty is looking forward to a great school year working with each scholar.

A message from the new Fonseca School Principal, Mr. Ward:

Dear Family and Friends of Fonseca Elementary School,

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself.  My name is Michael Ward and I am excited and honored to be the new principal of the Mary Fonseca Elementary School.

In my eyes, one of the most important aspects of my work as Fonseca’s principal will be building solid relationships with students, families, and teachers.  Each day I will make an effort to be in the hallways, classrooms, and on the playground getting to know your child(ren).  In my past experience, I have found that students appreciate a person who genuinely invests in them and who is fair in decision making.  These two notions are extremely important to me.

In addition to building strong relationships with all family and friends of Fonseca, it will be particularly important for me to make sure that your child(ren) and you feel safe at school.  If you ever have a concern about something, a question about a specific situation or procedure please do not hesitate to call or email an administrator or your child’s teacher.  Communication is paramount in a school.  For this reason, I encourage you to contact your child’s teacher and/or an administrator.

In the end, Fonseca is a school that has many things to be proud of.  I am looking forward to meeting all of you soon to develop and foster a strong relationship between home and school.  I thank you in advance for welcoming me as part of this great learning community!
