New Fonseca Bus Times


The Fonseca School is proud to announce our partnership with People, Incorporated.  As part of the partnership there will be a food pantry every Thursday in the Fonseca School Community Room from 3:15 to 5:15 PM. 

A Family Support Advocate will be at Fonseca on Mondays and Wednesdays from 8:00 - 11:00 AM and by appointment. If you have any questions please call, Joshua Amaral, Community Center Coordinator, 774-627-2531.


The empty chair is a symbol that stresses the importance of attendance and the fact that a teacher cannot teach an empty chair.  Let's work together to ensure that the children at Fonseca are in their seat every day!

January Daily Attendance for Students: 92.24%

February Daily Attendance for Students: 87.64%

Total Percentage to date: 92.63%

Goal for March:  94% of the student population will attend school daily at Fonseca School.

Each Sunday Evening (6:00 PM) please be prepared to receive an "All Call" from Mr. Ward highlighting the weekly attendance as well as upcoming news and events happening at the Fonseca School.

March Days -

March 10, 2015 - Cookie Dough Orders Ready for Pick-Up in the Community Room beginning at 3:00 PM

March 11, 2015 - Dream House Math Event for Grade 3 families and friends from 3:00 - 4:00 PM in the Community Room.

March 11, 2015 - Boys Basketball Practice from 3:00 - 4:30 PM.

March 11, 2015 - March PTO Meeting from 6:00 to 7:00 PM in the Community Room.

March 14, 2015 - Boys Basketball Game versus Tansey School at 9:00 AM at Morton Middle School.

March 21, 2015 - Pancake Breakfast at Fonseca School from 8:00 - 10:00 AM.

March 26, 2015 - Make and Take Math Event for Kindergarten families and friends from 3:00 - 4:15 PM in the Community Room.

Arrival:

Students in grades K-2 will enter through the Wall Street Entrance.

Students in grades 3-5 will enter through the Quarry Street Entrance. 

School hours: 8:05 AM - 2:52 PM

Breakfast is free for everyone and will be served from 7:55 until 8:10 A.M.

All students that arrive after 8:05 A.M. will be marked tardy and will need to enter through the Community Room door located near the main entrance. 


School Spirit Wear:

Pants or skirts either black, blue or khaki. Shirts either maroon, gold, or white with the Fonseca Logo on it.

Logos are available in the office from 8:00 - 2:00 P.M. The cost is $.50 per logo.

Early Release Days:  The March 5th Early Release Day has been canceled.  It will be a full day of school.
