Fencing Club

As part of the 21st Century Program directed by Derek Farias and Jay Correia, The Fencing Club returns to Durfee for its third year. The club meets in Room 287 after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays until 5:15.

Members are introduced to the basics of fencing attack and defense techniques as well as the history of the sport. Each meeting students enjoy full fledged competition for a chance to be crowned champion of the week. Newcomers are always welcome as are veterans.

So far this year the fencing club has produced a small promotional commerical featured in the Pep-Rally. Upcoming events include fencing clinics and the annual trip to the Rhode Island Fencing Academy. Interested in joining the fastest growing club at Durfee?
