Welcome to art class at the Henry Lord Middle School! This most exciting class will introduce you to the various aspects of art through art through art exploration and problem solving.
You will develop your ability to analyze and critique as you explore the elements of design through a variety of media.
You will be learning about art from many different cultures and from many different time periods.
The course will follow the Massachusetts Visual Art Standards which includes the following concepts:
Art criticism
Art history
Methods, materials, and media
Written reflection
Connecting art to other academic areas
Art vocabulary
Grading Policy
Portfolio/Projects 40%
Classwork/Participation 30%
