Mission Statement
The John J. Doran School, located on 101 Fountain St., is a 450-student Pre K-6 elementary school that seeks to develop and maximize the potential of each of its students. The mission of our school is to ensure that each of its students develops habits, concepts and attitudes which are necessary to achieve a lifelong love of learning, as well as to instill in each of them an appreciation of the importance of academic success.
The social aspect of education is also a large part of our mission, as it cannot really be separated from the academic-they are entwined together in each child. Therefore, we seek to identify and service the social needs of our students as they relate to academic success and an appreciation of learning.
